Back to Pocket Pay

Partner & franchise program

Last updated October 29, 2026

Pocket Pay is owned by Joshua Lee Willhoft and Joshwillhoft Productions. Financial partners participate as licensed franchisees of the platform — they buy in, take a small share of what their branch earns, and never own the brand, the code, or the customer relationship.

Who owns Pocket Pay

Pocket Pay — the app, its name, its Nugget (NUG) design, the One Loop score, its code, screens, writing and branding — is owned by Joshua Lee Willhoft, founder of Joshwillhoft Productions. All rights are reserved by the owner. Published material is attributed CC BY 4.0 to Joshua Lee Willhoft / Joshwillhoft Productions, which requires credit and does not transfer ownership.

Partners buy in, they do not buy the business

A financial partner joins the way a franchisee joins a franchise: they pay a one-time partner fee set in their written agreement, they operate under our brand, systems and rules, and they are granted a licence to offer Pocket Pay in a defined territory or product line. The licence is not equity, not a share of the company, and not a purchase of any part of the app.

What a partner earns

The partner keeps a small percentage of the revenue generated through their own licensed branch — 15% by default, as written into their agreement — with the remaining 85% retained by Joshwillhoft Productions as owner and operator. Partners are paid on revenue their branch actually earns, after refunds, chargebacks and payment processing fees.

What the owner keeps

Joshwillhoft Productions retains all intellectual property, the brand, the member base, the product roadmap and every customer relationship. Partners may not rebrand, resell, sublicense, copy or white-label Pocket Pay, and their licence ends if they breach the agreement or stop meeting their licensing obligations.

Licensed partners only for regulated banking

Holding deposits, issuing cards and lending real money require a licensed bank, trust company or money transmitter. Any partner providing those functions must hold the licences their jurisdiction requires and carry their own regulatory responsibility; the franchise licence does not make Joshwillhoft Productions a bank, and does not make a partner our agent beyond what the written agreement states.

Current status

No banking partner has been engaged yet, so balances, mining, yields and loans in the app remain simulated pilot records and no real funds move. Partner terms take effect only in a signed written agreement — nothing on this page is an offer of securities or a franchise offering in any jurisdiction where one must first be registered.

Starting a conversation

Institutions interested in a partner licence can open a support ticket from the app and mark it for the founder. Expect written terms, due diligence and licensing review before anything is signed.
